TWO DOLPHINS WERE BORN IN THE SADO RIVER

In August 2016, a dolphin baby was born and in October another one was born in the Sado estuary.

The information was only revealed in December by the Institute of Nature Conservation and Forests (ICNF) which chose to delay the disclosure of birth “in order to protect” baby dolphins.

None of the babies has a name … It will be chosen by the students of the 1st cycle of a school in the council of Setúbal.

With these new elements, the population currently has 29 animals.
